汉语话语理解中的语用照应

Bridging Reference in Chinese Utterance Interpretation

语用照应是话语理解过程中最常见的语言现象之一。通过问卷调查,证实了在汉语言语交际中,听话者的认知推理能力对话语理解的全过程起着至关重要的作用;语用照应过程对语境假设、语境构建乃至整个交际话语的理解都有着非常重要的引导性和制约性。关联理论对这一过程有很强的解释力。

Bridging is one of the language phenomena that most frequently occur in utterance interpretation. Through analyses based on experimental results of Chinese materials, this paper argues that, in Chinese verbal communication, the hearer＇s inference ability plays a crucial role. Contextual as- sumptions, construction and even the overall utterance interpretation are all subject to the constraints of bridging reference, which can be fully explained by relevance theory.
