Subjectivity of the Translator and Emotional Input in Literary Translation

关联翻译理论强调,翻译是一个动态的推理交际与认知过程。情感与风格是文学作品的精髓所在,文学翻译的焦点与根本是情感移植,风格翻译则是文学翻译的化境。作为动态的艺术审美与艺术创造的过程,文学翻译是译者的视域与作者的视域不断融合的过程,译文重构原文的形象美、音乐美、意境美,形似与神似并举,完美地再现原作的意境、风格和神韵。

Emotional input is vital for literary translation which should be both expressive and emotional. According to Gutt＇s relevance translation theory,translation is a dynamic process of communication and cognitive inference for original language explanation,in which the translator,serving as a bridge between the author and target text readers,is responsible for the readers as to whether they can experience both alien cultures and the aesthetic value in the original work. In literary translation, therefore,the translator should reproduce the original aesthetic image and style on the basis of understanding the author＇s information and communicative intention so as to convey the original artistic conception and charm to target text readers.
