As a newly-developed grammar, Word Grammar requires to be understood more by researchers and learners. It is a good way to make a comparison between word grammar and traditional grammar to know about word grammar accurately and thoroughly. By contrasting them with each other, the author proposes that they have many differences in researching purposes, targets and methods, and the features of word grammar in word, syntactic analysis and grammar ideology are beneficial to the understanding of grammar and the nature of language.
