This paper tentatively reviews related literature, summarizes the characteristics and underlying methodological principle of online interview, and figures out the pros and cons by comparing it with traditional interview methods, This paper also outlines the operation procedures of this method and analyzes its application in reality. It is concluded that with the development of Internet and Instant Message Tools, online interview as a new method to collect information is attracting more and more academic attention.
