The tales of fox spirit have circulated far and wide among the people in various forms of nar-rative modes. What is most impressive is that a fox spirit turns into a beautiful young woman, seducing a young man to have intercourse with her in a deserted place. Consequently, the fox spirit takes the man' s life by sucking his entire renal-yang. Due to the embodiment of cuteness and scariness, the fox spirit, as a widespread classical image too, is to a large extent reflecting males' subconscious female complex, i. e. , love and fear of women.
