摘要
《坠落的人》是美国后现代小说家德里罗创作于2007年的"9·11"定义之作,被《泰晤士报》称为献给"9·11"之后纽约和坠落者的一首圣歌。在这部作品中,德里罗细致地描写了恐怖袭击对普通大众所造成的强烈心理冲击以及他们如何进行自我调节的过程。从分析这部作品中的三个主要人物和其他角色不同的特征入手,来透视其中暗含的后"9·11"民众疗伤方式,能够使读者更深入地了解灾难带给美国社会和民众的巨大冲击。
Falling Man is a 9/11 definition work by Don DeLillo, published in 2007. It was described, by The Times, to be an anthem dedicated to New York City and the fallen victims. In this work, DeLillo gave a detailed depiction of the terrorist attack~ strong psychological impact on the public, and the process of people's self- adjustment. By analyzing the features of three different main characters in this novel, the ways common people healed their psychological wounds were explored, thereby enabling readers to have a better understanding of the great impact on American society and American people by that calamity.
