A Test Report about the Reformation on the Teaching of English Reading

英语阅读教学改革试验的目标在于改变传统的阅读授课形式,找到有效培养大学生英语自学能力的途径。大学英语阅读试验分两期进行,第一期将课外阅读欣赏与课内分享、评价结合,通过调查问卷获得有关数据,得出相关的结论,用于指导第二期试验,以达到预期的试验效果;第二期将课外阅读与写作结合,引导学生欣赏美文美句,通过仿写、批改等方式提高书面表达能力,并以阅读大赛的形式获得相关数据以检测试验效果。

The reformation on the teaching of English reading aims to findout how to change the traditional teaching methods used in English reading class, so as to help the students learn independently. The test is carried out in two semesters. In the first semester, the students are required to read the articles outside class, and share them with other students in class. A questionaire is used at the end of the semester to obtain relevant data for improving the test in the second semester. In the second semester, students are not only required to read out of class but also write reading reports, analyze the sentences from the articles, as well as comment on the reading reports written by others. A reading contest is held at the end of the second semester to test out whether the test is successful or not.
