Technology,Apparatus and Meaning:Two Approaches to Myth Interpretation

本文简要回顾了卡西尔与海德格尔之间的"达沃斯辩论",并试图从神话思维的角度为之提供一条理解路径。海德格尔对卡西尔的驳斥集中在其科学/神话对立话语下潜在的先验主体性上,这一主体性与海德格尔对技术的批判与反思密切相关。神话与技术具有某种同源性,都隐含在"装置"的秘密构型中。"装置"的双重起源则开启了神话阐释的两条路径,神话阐释的真实意义在于人类生存维度的更新,而非单纯的认知模式上。但为了防止这种真实意义再次沦为神话,这一意义不能被占有,仍需被打断,神话阐释寻求的是一条突破神话的思想之路。

This paper reflects on the ＂Davos Debate＂ between Cassirer and Heidegger and attempts to put it into the perspective of mythical thinking. In the debate, Heidegger refuted Cassirer＇ s latent transcendental subjectivity that underlay the discourse on the science -myth dichotomy. On the other hand, Cassirer＇ s subjectivity is closely related to Heidegger＇ s reflective critique on technology. Myth and technology are homological in the sense that they are both implicitly constructed in the ＂Gestell＂ （appara- tus）, and the double origins of apparatus open up two approaches of myth interpretation. Although the true meaning of myth interpretation lies in the dimension of existential renewal instead that of the pure cognition, the meaning is not to be occupied lest it should be degraded into myth again. Generally speaking, myth interpretation seeks to break through the mythical thinking.
