“毛泽东让高岗查刘少奇档案”一说辨析

Analysis on the Argument of “Mao Zedong Lets Gao Gang Look into Liu Shaoqi’s Files”

近年流传的“毛泽东在1953年让高岗查东北敌伪档案中有关刘少奇1929年在奉天（沈阳）被捕情况”一说，经考证分析，新中国成立初期中共中央东北局确实搞了一次清理敌伪档案工作，但开展此项工作并不是源于毛泽东指示，而是因为中央组织部发现中国驻苏联大使馆参赞张冠有叛变嫌疑，因此要求东北局负责查清问题。东北局在审查张冠问题过程中发现还有一些干部的历史问题也需要审查，所以才搞了这次清理敌伪档案工作，因此“毛泽东让高岗查刘少奇档案”一说不能成立。

The book My eighty-five years— from Northwest to Northeast by Zhang Xiushan mentioned an argument of 'Mao Zedong lets Gao Gang look into Liu Shaoqi's arrest at Fengtian in 1959 in northeast enemy and puppet files'. By investigation and analysis, the Northeast Bureau of the Central Committee of the CPC indeed had sort out enemy and puppet files in the early years of new China, but the reason to look into the file was not like that. Because the Organization Department of the CPC found the Chinese counsellor to the Soviet Union Zhang Guan was suspicious of betray, therefore the Organization Department of the CPC asked the Northeast Bureau to be in charge of checking Zhang Guan's problems. In that process, the Northeast Bureau found some cadres' historical issues also need to be checked and thus carried on sorting out enemy and puppet files of this time. Therefore, Zhang Xiushan's expression could not stand.
