An automatic traffic fee collection system which uses an array of infared optoelectronic sensors to distinguish the type of vehicle is introduced. This system does not have to use a contacting IC card to collect fees. This system has the advantages of being highly efficient and practical, lowered development cost, and computerized monitoring.
