Only by being frank can we become devoted friends.＂ Yu Zhengsheng spoke these words from the heart when listening to the opinions of members of the fifth session of the eighth Hubei Provincial Committee of the Chinese People＇s Political Consultative Conference （CPPCC） in 2002. Yu was then the secretary of the Hubei provincial committee of the Communist Party of China （CPC）.
“有问题，提出来，在哪里发生的什么事，有什么顾虑，告诉我们，坦诚相见才能肝胆相照。”2002年湖北省政协八届五次会议期间，时任中共湖北省委书记的俞正声在听取委员意见建议时说了这样一席话。11年后的2013年3月11日，俞正声当选十二届全国政协主席，成为中国最广泛爱国统一战线组织的新领导人。俞正声也是继毛泽东、周恩来、邓小平、邓颖超、李先念、李瑞环、贾庆林之后的第八位全国政协主席。
