摘要
本文将企业出口强度作为连续的处理变量,采用广义倾向得分法,控制企业的出口自选择后,在每一出口强度上考察了中国2000~2007年持续存活的企业出口后对其员工工资的影响,研究表明:企业出口确实能显著提高员工工资,然而这一因果关系只在企业出口强度的某些子区间成立。此外,企业出口后,出口强度与员工工资呈现"倒U"形关系,出口对员工工资的改善作用随出口强度的增加先上升后下降。
Regarding export intensity as continuous treatment variable, this paper uses generalized propensity score method which can control firm's self-selection to examine the causal effect of export on staff wages based on Chinese industrial firms during 2000-2007. We indeed find that there is a causal effect of firms export activities on wages. However, exporting improves salaries only within a sub-interval of firms' export-sales ratios. Besides, the emprical results also show the inverted U-shaped relationship between export intensity and staff wages, and the improvement will firstly increase then decrease as the rise of export intensity.
