A Research about the Feasibility of Microblogging Long-term Preservation ——A Survey Report Based on the Delphi Method

运用专家调查法,从微博长期保存的原因、面临的威胁、保存的费用、保存的职责四个方面对微博长期保存的可行性进行调查。调查发现"微博能够为数据挖掘提供条件"、"其潜在的经济价值"这两个因素构成微博长期保存的主要动力。微博长期保存也面临一系列威胁,如海量信息的技术处理难题和知识产权难题。微博长期保存的费用和职责承担机构难以确定,构成微博长期保存的主要障碍因素。针对微博长期保存面临的威胁和存在的障碍因素,需要在树立微博长期保存意识的基础上,加强不同领域间的合作,同时图书馆应结合本馆实际主动地有选择性地承担微博长期保存的职责。

Using Delphi Method, a survey is conducted to study the feasibility of long-term preservation of micro blog from the aspects of reasons, threats, costs and duties. The survey shows that the ＂ability to provide data mining conditions＂ and its ＂potential economic value＂ are the primary impetus to preserve micro blog in the long run. But the long term preservation is also facing a series of threats at the same time, such as technical problems existing in the mass information processing and the ntellectual property challenges. In addition, it is difficuh to determine which institutions should be charged with the costs and the responsibilities, and this has become a major obstacle to long-term storage of micro blog. Considering the factors mentioned above, it is necessary to strengthen the cooperation among different areas based on the awareness of the long term storage of the microblogging, meanwhile, libraries should take the responsibilities initiatively and selectively according to the library＇s actual situations.
