摘要
英语多层定语就是一个名词结构中有多个定语来修饰中心语。英语多层定语可分为:多层前置定语、多层后置定语与混合性多层定语。英语多层定语语序是语言象似与经济原则作用的结果,且二者无论在哪种英语多层定语语序的生成中均有体现。只是,在英语多层前置定语语序和英语混合多层定语语序中,象似性原则的作用略胜一筹,而在英语多层后置定语语序中,经济原则的作用占有较大比重。
English, as a kind of synthetic - analytic language, has three grammatical means, namely hereditary inflections, abundant function words, and comparably fixed word order. The ordering of multiple attributives is no exception. The study of the ordering of multiple attributives has been a difficult task for many language users cially EFL learners and users.
