An Introduction and Summary on the Research of Erdos Mongolian Folktale

鄂尔多斯蒙古族民间故事的搜集整理活动已有近110年历史,其文字记录、录音录影资料十分丰富,部分文本先后被译为法文、日文等多种语言,在世界范围内有一定影响。自上世纪40年代以来,田清波、H?塞瑞斯、海希西等国外蒙古学家和郝苏民、照日格图、陈岗龙等国内学者对鄂尔多斯蒙古族民间故事进行了类型、母题、传播、起源等多方面研究,但整体而言,鄂尔多斯蒙古族民间故事以其悠久的历史和丰富的口头文学价值而有待更多人进行搜集、整理、翻译出版和研究工作。

The activities of collecting Ordos Mongolian folk tales have lasted for nearly 110 years. The folk tales＇ writ- ten records and recording video data are very rich and parts of the texts have been translated into French, Japanese and other languages with worldwide influence. Mongolian study experts such as Antoine Mostaert, Henry Serruys, Walther Heissig, Hao Sumin, Zhaorigetu and Chen Ganglong have done quite a lot research on the Ordos Mongolian folk tales from the perspective of its type, core motif, transmission and origin. Due to its long history and oral literature value, it is hoped that more and more scholars can dedicate themselves to collecting, analyzing, translating and publishing, and researching on the 0rdos Mongolian folk tales.
