Study on Silence from a Perspective of Cultural Differentiation

摘要 沉默在不同文化中有着不同的内涵,对沉默的正确认识和有效利用会促进交际。本文从认知、情感和动机方面分析沉默的文化差异性。对沉默的研究也有利于教学活动。 silence conveys quite different information in different cultures. A correct perception and effective use of silence might be conducive to communication. Silence is analyzed from an intercultural perspective from aspects of cognition, emotion and motivation. The study on silence is also helpful to teaching.
