大学的职能审视

A Survey on Functions of University

大学在发展演变的过程中,其职能也在逐渐从单一的知识传授向多元的科学研究、社会服务、传承及创新文化以及其他功能扩展。隐藏在不同大学职能背后的,是在不同价值取向的哲学指导下的大学理念。在肯定了传统大学理念的价值的基础上,审视了大学附有的多元职能并非同传其统职能相冲突。通过对大学各种职能之间的关系的探讨,论述大学最具价值、最根本的本体职能还应该是对人的关注和培养。

in the process of development and evolution, functions of universities also expanded gradually from single function of knowledge imparting to multiple functions of scientific research, social services, inheritance, culture innovation and so on. What hid behind the different functions of university is the university idea which is directed by different value orientation under the guidance of the philosophy. This paper points out that multiple functions of a university do not conflict with its traditional functions. Through the discussion on relationships among various functions of university, this paper argues that the most valuable and most fundamental ontology function of a university should be the care for people and the cultivation of talents.
