On Li Zhi's Creation of Poetry

李贽既是思想家、学者,又是一位诗人。丰富的人生经历、多种社会文化角色的交融,形成了他博大精深的思想体系,也形成其诗人情感的丰富深广,并不乏绚丽浪漫情调。思想家的深刻睿智与学者的博学醇厚,又极大地助益其诗歌艺术,形成其诗歌通俗与雅致兼赡的语言特色,优美的意境,含蓄隽永的韵致,以及澹泊凄清与豪逸悲凉并存的风格特点。

Li Zhi is a thinker, a scholar and at same time a poet. The rich experiences and various social roles are the resources for his profound ideology, and for his sentimental personality. The wisdom of a thinker and the erudition of a scholar contribute much to his art of poetry. Therefore, his poems are full of the characteristics as follows： the language is simple and tasteful; the artistic mood is elegant, with love, and meanwhile with some desolation.
