中英两种文化存在的巨大差异导致两种语言的词汇、句法、篇章结构都有各自鲜明的特点。很多学生因不了解这种差异而无法正确理解和运用英语语言。为解决这一难题,将中英文化的差异知识引入课堂中来,建构更加全面的大学英语授课模式和体系,会极大地激发学生的学习兴趣,进而全面提高授课质量。

The great differences between Chinese and English cultttres result in the specific characteristics displaying in th^words, sentence structures and passages of the two languages. Many Chinese students encounter difficulties in the process of learning English just due to the fact-that they are not quite familiar with this cultural background. In order to tackle this tough issue, it seems very necessary for the English teachers to introduce the knowledge concerning the differences between Chinese and English cultures into English class. Only in this way can we build a more advanced teaching mode and system which greatly stimulate the students＇ learning interest and enthusiasm, thus finally improve the teaching quality fully.
