摘要
"忠实"问题是翻译界一直探讨的一个基本问题,但是过去的研究都是基于作者与译者是两个人。如果作者与译者是同一人,即作者翻译自己的作品,是否就是最忠实的翻译?本文以林语堂自译为例,从阐释学和接受美学视角,结合林语堂的翻译观,来探讨作者自译中的忠实问题。
Fidelity is not a new topic in translation studies, but all the past discussions are based on other translations in which the author and the translator are two persons. What if the same person acts as both the author and the translator？ This paper tries to rethink fidelity from the perspective of hermeneutics and reception aesthetics by discussing the two basic steps in the translating process and taking Lin Yutang＇s translation theory and self-translations as examples.
