摘要
矢量调制器作为0~360°的移相器使用时,最大等增益圆是一项重要的指标。本文提出一种快速有效的矢量调制器最大等增益圆的自动测试方法,基于线性空间理论,对一个主要工作频率为30 GHz,尺寸为3 mm×1.25 mm的Ka波段矢量调制器MMIC芯片进行测试,在其工作频率范围内,所得的增益平坦度小于0.5 dB,最大相位偏移量小于5°,测试时间小于5 min。
It is required to find the maximum gain circle (MGC) for the vector modulator (VM) used as a 0 - 360 degree analogue phase shifter. This paper presents a practical approach for searching the MGC in an automatic measurement system. Based on the linear space theory, an optimized method is ap- plied for testing a 30 GHz MMIC VM chip. It takes about 5 minutes to get all required data, the gain flat- ness of the MGC is less than 0.5 dB and the phase deviation is less than 5 degree in the test frequency.
