Citing the city bus XML6125CC as an example, through the analysis of European regulations and Chinese standards, the author introduces the similarities and differences about mass parameters, loading conditions and pas- senger numbers. He also discourses the determining method of maximum design total mass and maximum authorized total mass, the calculation theory and formula of maximum passenger numbers, to provide a useful reference for the design of the vehicles exporting to Europe.
