意识形态对晚清传教士的译介活动具有重要的影响。为"传播福音"、让中国民众改信上帝,他们采取"文化传教"的迂回手段,采用"中国本土化"、"大国抗衡"、"拯救中国"等多种文化策略。这些译介活动客观上对中西文化交流及中国现代化转型起到了一定的促进作用。

Ideology had important influence on the translation activities of missionaries in the late Qing period.In order to spread Gospels and induce Chinese populace to convert to God,the western missionaries adopted the roundabout way of cultural preaching and various cultural strategies including localization,and rhetoric of balancing great powers and saving China.These translation activities objectively played a certain role in promoting the cultural exchanges between Chinese and Western cultures and the modernization of China.
