中美文化视角下“时间观”之思考

霍尔认为,时间是一种无声的语言,不像言辞那般受人有意的操控,它更能清楚地传达信息。然而,文化决定了人们对于时间的理解,而不同的理解会导致人际间交际的困难。笔者将在前人研究成果的基础上,从文化视角下进一步探讨当代中美圆式时间观和线性时间观的差异,探究其根源以及指出该研究的现实意义。

According to Hall, time as a silent language can transmit the information in a much better way, unlike utterance controlled by human beings. However, culture determines people＇s understanding of time, and different understanding may lead to difficulty in interpersonal communications. Based on the predecessors＇ study result, the author of this paper continues to probe into the differences between Chinese circle-time concept and American linear- time concept, figuring out reasons and showing the practical influence of this research.
