摘要
本文首先介绍了三种主要的语义观,并指出了在词典编撰中与之相应的几种主要释义方法。通过对语言教学中的实例进行分析,指出了词典在释义方法上的局限性。通过这项研究,有助于培养师生全面、客观地认识词典的价值,并根据具体情况合理地使用词典。
The essay first introduces three major semantic views, and identiifes the corresponding methods of meaning explanation in lexicography. Through case studies in language teaching, it points out the limitations of these methods. It is hoped that this study will be of help to both teachers and students of EFL in getting a complete and objective understanding of the value of dictionaries, and utilizing them reasonably based on speciifc circumstances.
