摘要
凸显是人们介于对语言表达中所关注的焦点不同,而特意选择和使用特定语义来侧重描述和表达事物的某一侧面,来增强表达效果。现实生活中,我们接受到的客观事物是复杂多变的,这就需要我们对各种信息进行识别和整理,然后组织特定语言来突显事物的某一方面特性。英语学习也不例外,为了能更准确地理解他人所表达的话语信息,更好地学习和运用语言进行表达与沟通,我们就有必要来从语言学的角度对英语句式中的凸显原则进行分析和解读。
The essay first introduces three major semantic views, and identifies the corresponding methods of meaning explanation in lexicography. Through case studies in language teaching, it points out the limitations of these methods. It is hoped that this study will be of help to both teachers and students of EFL in getting a complete and objective understanding of the value of dictionaries, and utilizing them reasonably based on specific circumstances.
