On the Transitional Meaning of the Thing-Chanting Poems in Wei and Jin Dynasty

魏晋咏物诗的发展虽没有达到极盛,不能代表六朝咏物诗的最高水平,却有着鲜明的时代特点,对南朝咏物诗有着先导作用,为南朝咏物诗高潮的到来作了很好的铺垫。魏晋咏物诗在咏物诗的发展历史上具有承上启下的过渡性意义,是六朝咏物诗不可忽略的一个重要阶段。

Though the thing-chanting poems did not flourish in Wei and Jin Dynasty, nor can they stand for the highest level of the thing-chanting poems in Six Dynasties,but they did have the characteristics of the age. They played a pioneer role in the flourishing of the thing-chanting poems in Nan Dynasty. In this sense, they acted as a transitionalrole in connecting link be- tween the preceding and the following age, and therefore Wei and Jin Dynasty was a significant stage of the thing-chanting poems in Six Dynasties.
