摘要
译者在进行英汉翻译时,经常会遇到一词多义的英语词汇,这些英语词汇的语义的正确选择可以说是翻译过程中的一大难题,对这些词汇的翻译万万不能投机取巧,直接应用其常用语义,这往往是一些经验不足的译者常犯的错误,导致了误译的产生。本文探讨了英语词汇一词多义现象可能导致的误译问题,从而找到引起误译问题的原因,并且对词义选择策略进行探索。
When working on English-Chinese translation, translators always run into some English words with more thanone meaning. The choice of correct meaning can be a tough problem in the process of translating. However, there is no way to apply its regular meaning by free riding, which is usually a mistake made by translators who lack experiences, resulting in incorrect translation. This paper studies on possible wrong translation of English words because of their various meaning, so as to discover the reasons of these mistakes, meaning of such words. and does explorations on the strategies of choosing the correct
