糯:一个研究中国南方民族历史与文化的视角

Sticky Rice: A Perspective to Research Ethnic Minorities' History and Culture in South China

在中国南方及东南亚许多民族地区,围绕糯的生产而衍生出的一系列文化事项构成了这些民族的"族性",成为区辩"他者"的重要标识。本文即以糯为视窗,从历史民族关系、糯的社会生命、糯的未来三个层面,对糯在一些民族社会文化中的内涵与意义进行了简要的展示。旨在说明,我们对民族社会文化的认识可以从不同的视角入手,尤其是"物"的切入点,看似不经意的东西,却是勾连整个社会文化的纽带,从中我们可以找寻到不同社会文化的价值,探索"物"内外的意义。

In many minority - inhabited areas of South China and South - east Asia, a series of cultur- al traits around the cultivation of sticky rice form these ethnic groups＇ ethnicity, and even become an impor- tant marker to know from the other. In this paper, the author gives a brief discussion on the connotation and significance of sticky rice to some ethnic minorities＇ society and culture from the three aspects of historical ethnic relationship, social life of sticky rice, and the future of sticky rice. The aim is to indicate that we can start with different perspectives to perceive ethnic society and culture, especially the incisive spot of ＂mat- ter＂ . What seems like casual things may be the link to contact with the whole society and culture. And then we can find out the values of different society and culture, and search for the significance inside and outside of ＂matter＂
