文章从系统功能语言学的角度出发,以及物性为工具分析小说角色形象:首先论述了及物性在小说评价中的作用,然后结合原著中的语料,分析《荒野的呼唤》中巴克的形象。

From the perspective of systemic functional linguistics, the characters in the no- vel are analyzed with the theory of transitivity. The function of transitivity in the novel is dis- cussed first,and then Buck, a figure in ＂The Call of the Wild＂ is analyzed based on the language material in the novel.
