A method for detecting Odontoglossum ringspot virus on nitrocellulose by protein A gold complexes has been developed.It involved specific detection of virus by polyclonal antiserum followed staining with protein A bound to particles of colloidal gold.the amount of virus detectable was 1.56ng.The sensitivity was then comparable to DAS ELISA using alkaline phosphatase labeled antibody.
