从跨文化角度谈《白蛇传说》的字幕翻译策略

随着电影与我们的生活越来越密切,电影字幕翻译也成为一个新兴研究领域。电影字幕翻译不仅要从语言学和语用学相关角度着手,而且必须平衡两种语言背后的文化因素。从跨文化角度对《白蛇传说》的字幕翻译进行分析可以体现出中西方文化的各种差异,如历史背景,宗教信仰,价值观,思维方式以及命名等。字幕中通过合理的称呼彰显了人物的个性特征,运用还原意译和异化翻译等方法注入大量的佛教词汇以及习语的翻译,更好地传递了中西方文化因素。译者在翻译中深刻透视着中国文化,并恰到好处地与西方文化相结合,真正实现了文化交际的目的。

The subtitle can be es are getting closer, the study of subtitle translation has got a rapid translated from the view of linguistics and pragmatics, but it should combine cultural factors of two languages. The present paper states the cultural differences between China and the West from five aspects： historical background, religious beliefs, values, thinking and proper nouns： and then analyzes some subtitle translation skills, such as selection of proper titles to reflect characters＇ identity, utilization of pratyeka Buddha, and translation of the idioms properly by reductive paraphrasing and foreignizing methods, so as to transmit different cultures from the perspective of crosscultural communication. In order to reach the aim of cross-cultural communication, the Chinese culture is shown carefully and deeply in the subtitle translation, and the western culture is combined effectively and in a convincing way.
