大学英语功能定位与教师专业发展

College English’s Function Positioning and Teacher’s Professional Development

本文首先介绍了外语教师专业发展的背景,提出教师专业发展研究应该立足于课堂教学实践。然后,在分析大学英语教育现状基础上,提出了大学英语的功能定位,即培养学生的学术英语能力。最后,针对新的功能定位,对大学英语教师的专业素养提出了如下要求：更新教学理念、改革教学模式,完善知识结构,以科研促进自身的发展以及掌握现代信息技术。旨在提升教学质量和教师自身专业素养,彰显大学英语教师价值,增强其竞争力。

This paper starts from the introduction of the background of second language teacher education（SLTE）,claiming that the research of SLTE should be based on classroom teaching practice. Then through the analysis of the status quo of college English teaching,the paper establishes academic English as the function of college English teaching.At last,the author suggests that college English teacher raise their professional quality from the following perfecting the knowledge structure,conducting academic research and aspects：renewing teaching notion,reforming teaching mode, mastering modern information technology,so that the teaching quality can be improved,the value of college English teachers can be demonstrated and their competitiveness boosted as well.
