摘要
病理学和肿瘤学从原始的大体病理 ,经过显微病理和特殊染色 ,发展至今又揉进了分子生物学和肿瘤遗传学的成分。1993年WHO脑肿瘤分类的病理学基础是显微病理和特殊染色。由于这个更新的分类法的出现 ,使得脑肿瘤的分类在根据病理诊断推测患者预后的可靠性方面取得了长足的进展。这个改进过的分类法使得影像学的诊断更加正确。2000年WHO脑肿瘤的分类反映了组织病理学、分子生物学和肿瘤遗传学的内容。本文简要介绍了1993年和2000年脑肿瘤分类的差别 ,以及星形细胞肿瘤。
Pathology and oncology have progressed from a gross pathology beginning,through microscopy and special stains,and into the realm of molecular biology and tumor genetics.The 1993 WHO classification of brain tumors is based on microscopic pathology and special stain.This classification greatly advances the ability to predict prognosis from pathologic diagnosis by introduing the renewed tumor categories.This improved pathalogic stratification is reflected in more accurate interpretations of diagnostic imaging studies.The 2000 WHO classification is based on histologic pathology,molecular biology and tumor genetics.The advances of classification for astrocytic tumors,meningiomas and embryonal brain tumors,and the differences between 1993 and 2000 WHO classification of brain tumors are addressed.
