Application of environment-friendly coatings to furniture manufacturers in USA

摘要 家具生产过程产生大量的挥发性有机化合物(VOC)和有害大气污染物(HAP),对环境造成严重的影响,而生产过程使用的涂料和胶黏剂是这些污染物的来源。论文概述了国内家具生产主要工序及其产生废弃物的状况,介绍了美国Ethan Allen公司、Knoll公司、Geiger Brickel公司和Hussey Seating公司分别以高固体分涂料、粉末涂料、水性涂料和辐射固化涂料取代传统涂料的清洁生产方案以及取得的环境和经济效益,为我国家具企业开展清洁生产提供参考。 Large numbers of volatile organic compounds (VOC) and hazardous air pollutants (HAP) are produced during furniture production, leading to bad effect on environment. The sources of such contaminations are coatings and adhesives used in manufacturing. In this article, main work procedures and their status of producing castoffs during furniture production in China were summarized. The cleaner production projects were introduced, including using high-solid-content coatings, powder coatings, water-based coatings, and UV/EB curable coatings as alternatives to traditional coatings in Ethan Allen company, Knoll company, Geiger Brickel company, and Hussey Seating company in the United State respectively, and their environmental and economical benefits were described. It provides a reference for domestic furniture production corporations developing cleaner production.
