摘要
以元认知理论为基础,调查非英语专业不同英语水平者写作能力及元认知能力情况。调查表明,非英语专业学生的写作能力及其元认知能力普遍较差,而且他们的英语水平与元认知能力具有相关性。学生们在策略知识、计划和评估三方面的能力尤其欠缺,大部分学生对英语写作缺乏兴趣。这一调查结果可为大学英语写作元认知培训教学提供信息与启示。
Based on the meta-cognitive theory, the present study attempts to clarify the general situation of English writing and meta-cognitive skills of learners at different levels. The data show that English writing and meta-cognitive skills of the non-English major students are generally poor and their meta-cognitive skills are related to their overall English level. Students show lower proficiency of strategic knowledge, planning and evaluation, and most students in non-English majors are not interested in English writing. The study results can provide some valuable information and implications for writing and meta-cognitive training of college English teaching.
