On Studies of Orientalism

阿拉伯—伊斯兰世界一直是东方学最为关注的研究对象,但东方学家多站在西方基督教的立场上,以难以被穆斯林接受的观点和方法解读伊斯兰,从而导致伊斯兰在西方被误读和曲解。因此,对"东方学研究"的研究极为重要,有助于对东方学正负两方面影响进行梳理,也有助于在对阿拉伯—伊斯兰世界进行研究的过程中,批判性地借鉴东方学的学术成果,并通过强化文本阅读和自主研究,达到构建中国特色的学术话语体系的目的。

Arab-Islamic world has been the object of the studies of Orientalism. Orientalists looked the Islam as dissidents for religious reasons. They stood on the position of Christianity and explained Islam with the way that is difficult to be accepted by the Arab Muslim. It caused the misread and misinterpretation of Islam in the West. It is extremely important to do research on Orientalism studies. It helps us to identify Orientalism in both positive and negative sides, and also helps us draw the academic achievements from Orientalism critically in the process of research on the Arab-Islamic issues. To build Chinese academic discourse characteristics, we＇d better study by way of strengthening the text reading and independent research.
