误解普遍存在于人们的日常言语交际中。误解作为一种语言现象是不可避免的。透过对误解的分析可以更加深刻地了解误解的性质、成因,进而减少交际误解的出现。Sperber和Wilson两位学者于1986年首次提出了关联理论。该理论站在认知科学的高度对人类的交际行为进行了深刻的剖析,所以作者相信该理论定会对误解的探究提供强大的理论支持。本文将在关联理论的框架内探讨交际误解的成因。

Misunderstanding, as a kind of language phenomenon, is commonplace but inevitable in our daily verbal communication. An analysis of it is conducive to the understanding of how it is resulted in, thus helping to reduce its occurrences. The relevance theory, firstly put forward by Sperber and Wilson in 1968, made an insightful analysis of human communication from the vantage point of cognitive science. Therefore the author of this paper believes it will by all means provide strong theoretical support for the investigation into misunderstandings. This paper, within the framework of that theory, will investigate the reason for its occurrences in verbal communication.
