佛经翻译文学与跨文化追寻的努力——评刘守华先生的《佛经故事与中国民间故事演变》

Buddist Scriptures Translation and Cross-Cultural Pursuit:A Review of Liu Shouhua's Buddhist Stories and Evolvement of Chinese Folktales

刘守华先生专著《佛经故事与中国民间故事演变》,以跨文化比较视野进行民间文学的印度渊源研究,探讨了《六度集经》、《贤愚经》、《杂宝藏经》、《譬喻经》等佛典名著及许多佛经母题之于中国民间故事影响。著者运用母题理论揭示了印度民间故事进入佛经的两种主要方式。该著材料丰赡,取材特色在于广收中国多民族民间口头文学。这部厚重之作,对拓展佛教于民间文学影响研究,具有深远意义。

From a cross-cultural comparative perspective, Buddhist Stories and Evolvement of Chinese Folktales by Liu Shouhua has explored the Indian origin of folk tales, discussing the influence of Liu Du Ji Jing , Xian Yu Jing, Za Bao Zang Jing, Pi Yu Jing as well as other Buddhist works and motifs on Chinese folk tales. Liu reveals the two main ways of Indian folk tales＇ being broght in Buddhist scriptures. One unique feature of this book is its extensive collection of multi-ethnic oral literature in China. This work makes a great contribution to development of the influence of Buddhist scriptures on folk tales.
