Line dancing is one of the global and fashionable fitness programs which originated from Europe and the United States. Its inclusive, friendly, relaxing and joyful features attract more and more people to participate in this activity. Many countries and regions have designated line dancing as a physical activity in health promotion projects. By analyzing impact of line dancing implementation on people' s cardiovascular function, aerobic capacity, muscle strength, flexibility, balance, BMI, body composition, bone mineral density, cognitive, emotional and social inclusion in research findings abroad, we propose to further expand the population coverage of line dancing, to improve the design of exercise prescription with optimal frequency, time and strength for different groups of people, and to carry out comparative studies between different styles of line dancing and with other activities.
