复仇现象在中国古代社会长期存在的根源在于古人认为复仇的下列属性决定了它的正当性:复仇是符合"孝"的,复仇体现了公平,复仇有利于社会安全。这种看法深受儒家伦理法的影响,也在一定程度上体现了人类的共同观点。

The revenge behavior has been existed in ancient China for a long time. Ancient people think revenge behaviors are legitimate because of its features： it is in accordance with ＂filial piety＂： it reflects fairness; it is good for social safety. This kind of thought is affected by Confucian ethics and oo some extent reflects the common nature of human beings.
