Connotation and Present Situation of Common Spiritual Home of the Chinese Nation

中华民族共有精神家园是人民安身立命之所在,是民族兴旺发达之灵魂,是国家繁荣富强之支撑。从其现状来讲,当前精神家园的建设已经取得了卓有成效的进步。然而,在致力于经济建设,努力创建物质文明的同时,精神文明建设却未能及时跟上步伐。建设中华民族共有精神家园,需要传承中华民族精神,凝聚时代精神,整合世界多元文化精神,坚持在马克思主义中国化理论指导下的提升。

The common spiritual home of the Chinese nation, in terms of its connotation, is the soul of Chinese people, the base of the nation＇ s thriving and the support of the country＇ s prosperity. Generally, spirit construction has been made fruitful in China but, with the rapid development of economics, the spirit construction step has legged far behind compared with economic progress. Hence, the paper contends that measures should be taken to construct the common spiritual home of the Chinese nation, which will be based on inheriting the spirit of the Chinese nation and absorbing varieties of cultures of the world.
