Lim Boon Keng is in charge of Xiamen university for 16 years, and has profound influence upon the development and the shaping of cultural character of Xiamen University. Because his educational experiences and thoughts fade out of public view for a long time, the book, taking the history and the interpretation of the culture spirit of Xiamen University as main line, introduces the rich educational experience and philosophy of Lira Boon Keng. From the special perspective of Lira as a runner, the book exams the existence of Xiamen University and integrates his individual state of life with the development of Xiamen University.
