This paper describes partial purification and characterization of a vandate-sensitive K +-ATPase from PM of Sorghum vargular. Purification is based on the following procedure: extraction of membrane with CHAPS, followed by fraction of the extract by successive FPLC-mediated gel permeation and ion-exchanes chromatography. The overall yield was 5%. The partially purfied ATPase appares to contain a polypeptide component of Mr=80kd.
