语块在二语认知加工中的优势及其影响因素研究

A Study of the Processing Advantage of Formulaic Sequences and Its Influencing Factors in Second Language Cognition

通过无语境条件下的在线语法判断任务实验和有语境条件下的自定速阅读任务实验,验证了英语语块的整体加工优势假说,并发现二语水平的不同使语块的在线语法性判断的时间、正确率和在线阅读理解时间有所不同。但无论水平高低,二语者对语块的加工都快于非语块的加工。语义透明度和熟悉度也是影响二语语块加工的重要因素。透明度高的语块加工速度更快、正确率更高;熟悉度越高,对语块的提取加工越快速准确。

The present study aimed to examine the processing advantage effect of formulaic sequences for Chinese second language learners of English and to investigate how factors such as English language proficiency,semantic transparency and familiarity affect their processing.Two experiments were carried out,one by context-free on-line grammaticality judgment task,and the other by contextual line-by-line self-paced reading task.It is found that formulaic sequences are responded to significantly faster than nonformulaic counterparts,thereby providing evidence in support of the holistic processing advantage of formulaic sequences.Additionally,different L2 language proficiency does affect the processing time and accuracy rate in grammaticality judgment and the understanding of formulaic sequences.Semantic transparency of formulaic sequences affects the processing in that formulaic sequences with high semantic transparency are processed faster and more accurately than those with low transparency.L2 learners' familiarity with formulaic sequences also affects the processing in that formulaic sequences of high familiarity are processed at faster speed and with fewer errors than those of low familiarity.
