摘要 谷歌地图被苹果自己的地图应用作为预装应用取代几个月后,却又以第三方应用的方式重返iOS,展现了其作为地图应用提供者的强大实力。 Google Map returned iOS as a third party application a few months after it was replaced as pre-installed application by Apple's own map application,which showed its strong strength as a map application provider.However,competition in map service is only a superficial phenomenon and a miniature.The two giants Apple and Google,with different natures and goals,interact and rely on each other in industry chain.iPhone,the mobile platform brings about 50% flow for Google map,so Google will not sit around to see the loss in advertisement——large volume of local search information which is closely related to advertisement service on map application falls into the hand of Apple.According to Google,the investment in Android system comes from mobile advertisement revenue,Apple therefore is not willing to see that the huge flow and user information iPhone goes to its competitor.Therefore,the struggle for map service is not only a simple application competition,but also a battle between two big mobile internet giants,especially in American where iPhone and iPad are still taking the lead in hardware market.
