To satisfy the requests arising from engineering design, it is necessary not only to analyze the affect of the shape of horizontal converting furnace mouth and parameters on the design and operation of converting furnace system, but also to put forward the formulas of calculation for relevant parameters of the converting furnace mouth so as to facilitate a more logical and scientific determination of these param-eters.
