The file IEEE Std 80—2000 'Guide for Safety in AC Substation Grounding' was introduced.Using the software EDSA,the designed ground grid was simulated and analyzed.The simulation result was compared with the result calculated according to the file DL/T 621—1997 'Grounding for AC Electrical Installations'.The result shows that the software drawing can substitute for traditional complex calculation process at all and can improve the efficiency and accuracy of design work.
