Suggestions for Developing Special Use Potato Industry in Keshan County

克山县发展马铃薯产业基础好,起点高,优势强,但生产中品种单一,多以菜用薯为主,产量低、品质差、产业链条短、效益不高。为进一步扩展马铃薯产业发展空间,作者提出在克山县重点发展种薯、菜用薯、加工薯、特色薯四大类型的专用薯生产建议,从而达到提高薯农种植效益和企业加工效益,提升全县马铃薯产业发展水平的目的。

Keshan potato industry has long history, high starting point and strong advantage, but it mainly grows table potatoes with low yield and poor quality, and therefore the industrial chain is short and economic return is not high. In order to expand the potato industry in Keshan, the authors propose to develop the four kinds of special use potato, i.e. seed potato, table potato, processed potato, and specialty potato. In this way, the economic return could be increased for both potato grower and processor, and therefore the potato industry could be promoted in general.
