The applications of the entry tension roller in cold rolling process control system were discussed primarily. In strip steel continuous production process, tension rollers as an important component of tension adjusting played an essential role in cold rolling production line. With the development of automation technology, tension roller control methods were improved continually. Through the design of new double closed loop, using master-slave control projects, and the ideal control effect was gained in practice.
